NC Cyber Academy (NCCA) is one of two virtual charter schools in the state of 
North Carolina that were authorized by the NC Legislature in 2014 and opened as 
a pilot in 2015. Originally named the North Carolina Connections Academy, NCCA 
changed its name to NC Cyber Academy in the 2019–2020 school year reflecting its 
decision to operate with more local control and oversight.

NCCA offers a well-rounded education for kindergarten through 12th grade 
students across all 100 counties in the state. We prioritize individualization 
and focus on the needs of the whole child. NCCA is the best online partner for 
helping K-12 students across the state grow academically as well as socially and 
emotionally, so they’re prepared for life and the careers of tomorrow
