English Language Development (ELD)

This is a guide that can be used to assist you in understanding your child's EL/ML Identification, Assessments, Services, Instructional Supports, Exit Criteria, and valuable Family Resources.

ACCESS Testing for Multi-Lingual Learners

Conducted between January and the first week of March, ACCESS is administed to students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade to monitor students' progress in learning academic English. Anchored in  the WIDA English Language Development Standards, this assessment meets the U.S. federal requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). ACCESS assesses the four language domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
